Hello, I'm Tim
I'm an Android Developer with 5 years of experience in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. I help people solve real-world problems by building Android apps. I live in Walnut Creek, California with my wife and daughter.
I was born and grew up in Mongolia. I studied Computer Science at the University of Mittweida in Germany. I speak English, German, and Mongolian fluently, and a little Russian.
My Early Android Journey (2011-2012)
After leaving my corporate job in 2011, I began my Android development journey and released my first two apps in 2012, built with Java, XML, Eclipse, and the Android SDK plugin.

Modern Android Development (2018–2019)
In 2018, I learned Kotlin, Jetpack components, and MVVM architecture, along with Coroutines, Navigation, Material Design 2, Room, and WorkManager. I published two more apps in 2019. One of them was featured by a famous Android Youtuber on his channel.
Web Development (2022–2025)
To support my Android apps with modern backends and landing pages, I learned Next.js, React, and TailwindCSS. I built and published two full-stack Next.js apps that earned over 450 GitHub stars and Vercel swag, with my portfolio featured on WeAreDevelopers.com.

Android Development Today (2025-Present)
After learning web development, I began exploring modern Android tools like Jetpack Compose, Hilt, Coroutines, Flow, Room, Ktor, Material 3, and more. I'm currently working on the following Android apps:
